What science ideas did you learn?
This week in science class we talked and learned about photosynthesis and respiration. We made flow charts and talked about what we wrote. For respiration, we wrote what we inhale and exhale. We called it the starting stuff, and the ending. We even did an experiment. What we did, was inhale into a jar, then with a machine thing we found out how much oxygen was in it. Another thing we did this week, was learn more about O2,H2O, CO2 and what they are. We also learned how much of that goes in respiration, and how much comes out.
How do you learn these ideas?
One way we learned some of our ideas from was homework. For example, our homework was to create a flow chart for photosynthesis and respiration. That made us do research and it gave us a better idea on what it was. Then the next day we discussed about it. Discussion is another way we learn our ideas. This is how we learned more about O2,H2O,CO2.
Why is it important to know these ideas?
It is important to know about the things we learned in class because it might show up in the future. For example, knowing about respiration, and it is important to know what else does and how. Also, if your job in the future has something to do with being a science teacher or a scientist it's important to know. Also, it's a good thong to know important facts because the questions might come up in the older grades.

What science ideas did you learn?
This week in science we continued to learn about cells. We learned about a paramecium cell. We learned that it is an animal cell and not a plant cell. We talked about how it move and discussed about it with the class. Another thing we did with the paramecium, was look at it under a microscope because we found it in pond water. We observed it then drew what we saw under high and low magnification. Another thing we did this week was talk about the structures of a cell.
How did you learn these ideas?
We learned these ideas in many ways. One way we learned about paramecium cells was from homework. We did some research and answered a couple of questions. We also talked in class and did an experiment. That helped us a little more. Also, we learned more about the structure of cell and a way we learned more about this was getting quizzed on it. The quiz helped understand it more.
Why is it important to know these ideas?
It is important to know about paramecium cells, the structure of cells, etc because when your doing and experiment you want to know what your talking about. Also if you are taking a quiz you would need to know these things. For example, when we took a quiz on structures of cells, we needed to know where they were located on the cell. If we never learned or talked about it, you wouldn't have gotten such a good grade.

What science ideas did you learn?
This week in science class we learned and discussed a little bit about cells. We started to make a chart during class, that listed the structure and function. Then we wrote if it was used only for animals, plants, or both. Another thing we did this week was, using the microscope to see cells. We tested a potato, a potato with metholine (blue stain), a potato with lugo, a potato with water, and grass that was in water. We observed them and wrote down what we saw.How did we learn these idea?
One way we learned these ideas were from class discussions. For example when we reviewed parts of cells and what they did. That helped us understand a little more about what cells do and why they are important. We also learned these ideas by experiments. We got to understand what cells look like. And to practice what the parts of a cell were called and what animal and plant cells looked like, we did that for homework. That's why homework can be useful, so it helps us learn these ideas.
Why is it important to know these ideas?
Its important to know what cells look like because there are a lot of different kinds. Also, its important to know that animal and plant cells have a lot of similar structures and functions. Its important to know this because if its on a test and it asks what are some different structures for animal cells and plant cells, then you would need to know. Also if you are comparing animal and plant cells, you would know that they are very alike and they're aren't a lot of things that are different. And it is also important to know about cells, for future references
